There's A Crack (Heart Attack)

from 1999-2012 Vol. 1 by Cormac O Caoimh

about

The original song (Heart Attack) was from the A New Season For Love album. The song was trying to describe a panic attack in a song. All the A New Season For Love album was designed to sound calm and quiet. But when I played it live it started to sound more like what the initial purpose of the song was. I like both versions though

lyrics

Lightening strikes twice
A thunderous drum
Your shadow, your guide hides
Seconds slow down
All thoughts speed up
And there's no sound
Except for your pulse

There's a crack
On your path
There's no way back
There's no way back
There's a crack
On your path
There's no way back
Your heart's under attack

A pendulum swings
Your family clock stops
The dreams the night brings
The morning time locks
Your ears hear a tune
That nobody sings
Your eyes are immune
To the beautiful things

There's a crack
On your path
There's no way back
There's no way back
There's a crack
On your path
There's no way back
Your heart's under attack

An old book , a thought
Maps a path your feet walk
With the beauty you brought
Chalk out a new ending

There's a crack
On your path
There's no way back
There's no way back
There's a crack
On your path
There's no way back
Your heart's under attack

What do…
A honeyed whiskey drink,
A fine cognac on a cold winter’s eve
A warm woolly jumper in muted earthy colours
A colour .. a rich mahogany warm and beautiful
and a water color painting all have in common???
They have all been used in reviews to describe Cormac O Caoimh's 2012 album. He did 3 better since then

"Beautiful beyond words" - Mutant Space

"There is true magic here" - Folk Words
